My name is Jin Kim Hymers, and I am proud to call La Cañada Flintridge my home.

​

As an immigrant who came to this country in pursuit of the American Dream, I know firsthand the value of hard work, determination, and community. After arriving in the US from Korea with my family, I worked diligently to build a life grounded in education, integrity, and service. From earning my degree in Economics at UCLA to becoming a Certified Public Accountant and raising a family, I have always believed in the power of education and community support.

The most fulfilling part of my life has been raising my three children, two of whom attend Paradise Canyon Elementary School (PCY), right here in La Cañada. My husband, Robert, and I moved our family to this community because of its strong educational values and commitment to family.

I am deeply passionate about giving back and ensuring that all of our children have the opportunity to thrive. Whether through my professional work in public accounting or my involvement with local charities and educational programs, I have always sought to make a positive impact.
 

Now, I am running for the La Cañada Unified School Board for four simple reasons: inclusive education, community involvement, a budget that supports quality education, and our children’s future.

I would be honored to earn your vote and to work together to continue making La Cañada a place where families and children can thrive.
